Our Kilo Deduction Policy Explained

Sep 29, 2026 · 50 pesewas per kilo is saved for every farmer during the main season and can be withdrawn from July to August. Here is how the scheme works.

Our Kilo Deduction Policy Explained

The Kilo Deduction Policy was introduced by our CEO to support farmers during difficult times and to help them improve their farming activities.

During the main season, 50 pesewas per kilo — or GH₵50 per bag of cashew — is deducted at the point of weighing and recorded in the farmer's passbook.

Representatives from each farming community are selected to open a Group Account, where the deducted money is saved. The CEO is the principal signatory and secretary to all Group Accounts.

The savings are available for withdrawal from the first week of July to the end of August — the months when many farming families need money the most. The CEO also works with banks to create individual savings accounts for farmers, so they can deposit and reach their money easily.
